Bursary

National bursary competition for academic year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Each scholarship will provide £1,000 to assist one student undertaking a full-time course (BTEC Level 3 and above). The award will be made to the individual student for one year only.

What is This Scholarship?

We have a huge interest in the education of the next generation of private detectives and investigators and as we have a commitment to helping others we are offering one student a monetary award to assist with their education.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

A panel made up of private detectives and investigators will meet in early November to consider who the scholarship will be awarded to.

Here is a list of suggested courses that would benefit from this bursary or alternatively if you have applied for or are attending a course that would benefit our industry please apply:

Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminology and Police Science, Forensic Crime Scene, Digital, E-Crime, Cyber Crime, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Analysis, Crime and Investigative Studies, Criminology and Sociology, Law, Psychology and Criminology, Policing, Law and Investigation.

Applicants that meet this criterion are invited to submit a 200 word statement titled "How The Private Investigator Scholarship Will Help Me" via the below form.

    Located on Bilston Street in Wolverhampton centre is the main police station for Wolverhampton. Since the mid-1960s, the centre of Wolverhampton has been altered radically, with the Mander Centre (plans for which were unveiled on 15 April 1965) being opened in two phases, the first in 1968 and the second in 1971. Although sources are unclear as to whether the battle took place in Wednesfield or Tettenhall, Wolverhampton is recorded as being the location of a battle between the unified Mercian Angles and West Saxons against the raiding Danes in 910.

    A.F.C. Wulfrunians and Wolverhampton Sporting Community F.C. in the Midland Football League Premier Division and Wolverhampton Casuals F.C., Wednesfield F.C., and Bilston Town F.C. in the West Midlands (Regional) League are several Wolverhampton-located clubs that play non-league football. Opened in 1938 and closed on 31 December 1970 , Wolverhampton was at Pendeford. Located 8 miles (12.9 km) southwest of Wolverhampton, is a small general aviation airfield, the Wolverhampton Airport, renamed from Halfpenny Green.

    Almost a third of Wolverhampton's population lived in council housing by 1975, by which time Wolverhampton had also taken in the majority of the former districts of Bilston, Wednesfield and parts of Willenhall, Sedgley and Coseley, but since that date social housing has been built on a minimal scale in the area, and some of the 1919-1975 expansions have since been demolished.     Participating in the Elite League at the Monmore Green stadium is Wolverhampton Wolves, one of the leading speedway clubs in the UK represents Wolverhampton. The British Prime Minister, David Lloyd George, announced he was calling a General Election at "The Mount" in Tettenhall Wood in 1918. At Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in the same year, Lloyd George also made his "Homes fit for heroes". Freak weather touched down in Fordhouses to the north of Wolverhampton, and later relocated over Wolverhampton city centre and surrounding suburbs, causing some damage on 23 November 1981 .
